DJ “DaProtege” Linderman is a battle-tested combat sports veteran whose journey began unexpectedly in 2005 when he stumbled upon an MMA dojo in Eureka, California. He took a fight just one week later and won by knockout in under two minutes. Since then, Linderman has amassed a wealth of experience across MMA, boxing, and bare knuckle, making a name for himself as a powerful heavyweight with an indomitable will and cardio that fuels his relentless dirty boxing style. Throughout his professional career, he has earned titles in multiple promotions including Cage Warriors, SportFight, Fight Time, and Pure Combat. His most recent tenure in BKB added another championship accolade to his legacy.
Known as 'DaProtege,' a name given by his longtime coach Tommy Davis, Linderman has been a stalwart of consistency, loyalty, and resilience in the ring. Training out of Yreka, CA, and representing Eureka, he is backed by a strong corner and a tight-knit team including Beau Hamilton and Cam Dague. DJ's approach to fighting is defined by tenacity, strategic pressure, and a willingness to outlast and outwork his opponents. With a 4-2 bare knuckle record, his recent wins over Terrell Jamal Woods and Orlando Reshad Coulter have reaffirmed his position as a serious contender. As he looks ahead to reclaim his BKB Heavyweight Championship, Linderman remains focused and determined to dominate in a sport not many dare to enter.
Outside of the ring, Linderman is a devoted father to three daughters—Erika, Jaela, and Mia—and finds joy in fishing and instilling values of perseverance and excellence in his kids. He credits combat sports with saving his life and providing a pathway away from destructive choices. Fighting is not just a sport to him—it’s a lifestyle, a calling, and a mission to inspire others.
