Liam Teruel, who got the nickname “El Toro” (the bull) for his aggressive, front-foot pressure fighting, may not have an impressive record in the major databases, but the power-punching Teruel boasts a 5-1 mark with multiple knockouts in unlicensed fights – common in his part of the world where sanctioned events are few and far between. That’s in addition to his amateur boxing record of 13-3 (also undocumented). Teruel has been fighting his entire life and says it’s part of the culture growing up in council estate, which he describes as a “rough part of the country.” His major influences coming up in boxing have been former WBC heavyweight champions Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, and Lennox Lewis.

Outside of fighting Teruel enjoys watching sports, particularly motocross. While he rides recreationally, he does not have any plans to race, though does have a few close friends who participate in the local circuit. You’ll notice Teruel, who is not married and does not have any kids, is covered in tattoos and is most proud of his leg sleeve as it stands as his most recent work. Teruel plans to “never stop” getting inked despite running out of available real estate. Teruel is dedicating this fight to his family, who remains “very loyal” and “very close.” Teruel calls his BKB signing “an absolutely amazing opportunity” to showcase his skills on a massive platform and his ultimate goal is the division title.
