Biloxi, Mississippi - Bare Knuckle Boxing Hall of Fame matchmaker Mel Valenzuela announced its main event for the January 9 Bally’s Fightnight by BKB at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi. Headlining the card will be Biloxi’s own former BKB Women’s Lightweight Champion Monica Medina taking on Waianae, Hawaii’s Monica Franco.
In her last bare knuckle fight in front of her hometown crowd, Medina defeated champion Paty Juarez in the second of three fights in their epic Police Gazette Diamond Belt championship trilogy. No stranger from the spotlight, she is a veteran of six bare knuckle fights, four of which were title matches. Franco will be making her BKB and Trigon debut with a bare knuckle record of 1-1, including a victory over current BKB Super Lightweight champion Khortni Kamyron.
The card will feature some of BKB’s international bare knuckle stars including Honduras’ Marlon Moncada who earned Fight of the Night honors in his victory at BKB 39 and is trained by the legendary Joel Diaz, and Gulf Coast favorites such as undefeated Jeff Denton, and bare knuckle MMA veteran Douglas Freeman.
Bally’s Fightnight by BKB is a fully-integrated 360 partnership that unites proprietary sensor technology, Bally’s owned casino venues, and exclusive broadcast distribution into a single, seamless combat entertainment ecosystem where advanced sensors embedded in fighter wrist wraps will capture punch volume, punch type, and force of
impact in real time, delivering a gamified experience to fans both inside the arena and across Bally’s digital platforms. Bally’s Fightnight by BKB Biloxi will be broadcast exclusively on the Bally Sports Live app and Stadium free ad-supported TV (FAST) channel. Tickets are available now at bkbtickets.com/ballysbiloxi.
